The Next Step of Skilled Care
The Progressive Care Center is a 48-bed, Medicare-Certified Skilled Nursing Facility located on the fifth floor of Deaconess Hospital.  The facility provides extended care for those patients who are ready to leave the hospital setting but not quite ready to be discharged to home. 

Our Services
Staffed by a multitude of direct caregivers that include Registered Nurses on a 24-hour basis, the Progressive Care Center accepts patients from all area hospitals, as well as from physician offices and even directly from home in certain situations. 

• The Center has its own gymnasium, in which Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy services are provided. 

• Social Workers are on staff to assist patients as necessary, and Activities Directors develop and implement activities' programs that enhance the quality of every patient's stay. 

• Religious Life Chaplains play an integral role in the holistic approach to care provided in the facility. 

• A Certified Dietary Manager ensures that patients' dietary needs are met and that patients' expectations for the quality of food are exceeded. 

• Emergency Services from a physician are available 24 hours a day via the Deaconess Hospital Emergency Department.

The Center is licensed by the Indiana State Department of Health as a long term care facility.
